The Process

To demonstrate that your nonprofit values the journey and not just the destination, your nonprofit will:

  1. Include some component of risk management in staff trainings for all staff and volunteers.
  2. Educate the board about major risks/threats to the organization at every opportunity—earlier rather than later.
  3. Support professional development opportunities for staff in the area of risk management.
  4. Encourage staff to include education about risk management topics among their professional development goals.
