Return-to-Work Agreements
The Return-to-Work agreement is a contract in writing drawn up between the employee and the employer with the help of the treating physician. It may include:
- Light or modified duty — at the start, for a certain number of days or weeks;A staged return — starting with a few hours or days each week and finally to full schedule;Practical details — travel plans, salary level, scheduled start and finish times, training, support from a mentor at work, tasks and responsibilities; and
- A review period — every week, after two weeks, etc.
