• Educate your board about insurance issues: Share information about insurance from an article in the breezy (but substantive) newsletter published by Compasspoint, BlueAvocado. This article will get them up to speed on basic insurance issues:  “Insurance for board members: A Board Members’ Guide To Nonprofit Insurance.”
• Ask your agent or broker to come to a board meeting and give a presentation on the nonprofit’s insurance coverage: What’s covered, what’s not and what’s changing in the markets.
• Provide your board with a Risk Management Check List — just for them!
